〈 CHARACTER INFO 〉
CHARACTER NAME: Kite
CHARACTER AGE: Canonly unknown, putting him as 27
SERIES: Hunter x Hunter
CHRONOLOGY: Chapter 198, his fight with Neferpitou
CLASS: Hero (dubiously)
HOUSING: He's available for both having housemates and open for being placed in any of the other cities.

BACKGROUND:
Hunter x Hunter as a shonen series began in 1998, and this shows a bit in its worldbuilding. While geographically similar to the real world and in many ways similar technologically wise as well, it has its own unique creatures that seem to be a mix of others much like many shonen manga (Dragonball, for example). Creatures such as Foxbears and Spider-Eagles aren't seen as very unusual. There are of course more "normal" creatures, as well. In both manga and anime, we've seen dogs, birds, and fish that wouldn't look out of place in the real world and don't have any particularly extraordinary qualities of their own.

Technologically-wise, this universe seems to be all over the board. On one hand, there are cell phones shaped like bugs which are capable of translating over 200 languages and can always get a signal. At the same time, airships and hot air balloons are still commonly used for air travel by the people who can afford them instead of private planes. They do seem to have some form of internet, where it's possible for people to go onto toy websites or "I-tube".

Perhaps one of the reasons for this technological mishmash is the use of what is called Nen. Again, like many shonen series, Hunter x Hunter has its characters (protagonists especially) utilize special abilities through the use of their aura much like 'ki' for Dragonball or spirit energy for Yu Yu Hakusho. Nen is visible in all living things and is essential for their survival. Despite this fact, however, not everyone utilizes or can utilize it and most of the public at large in this universe is generally unaware of it. For those who do learn about it and how to sense it, that is the first step in using it to its full potential. For those who don't properly learn to use it or simply tap into it unknowingly, it still can manifest in its most basic way and label those individuals to the common public as "supergeniuses" or "prodigies". These basics are labeled as "Ten" and "Ren", with the other basic called "Zetsu".

Essentially, Ten and Ren affect the user's body directly which is why they can be utilized even by those who might not realize they're using it. Ten acts as a defensive aura barrier (although not a physical one) and slows the user's aging down since their life force is no longer slipping away from them. Ren, in contrast, is a more offensive basic technique which enhances physical strength and defense. Zetsu tends to be a more concentrated effort where the user shuts down the nen aura required for Ten and Ren, which makes them thus unable to be sensed in that way and also allows them to be more sensitive to the aura of others. The downside, however, is that they're vulnerable to the attacks of others. There are more advanced techniques with Nen aura, but most of them all originate in some way from one of these three.

What could arguably be called the point of mastering one's Nen culminates in the last principle of it: Hatsu. This releases the user's aura to be used in a certain way, and that way is almost limitless depending on the user's aura type, their own personality, and how they consciously choose to project it. The first and last points can clash if the user attempts to project their Nen in a way that isn't compatible with what kind of aura they actually have, making their chosen ability less affective.

There are six types of Nen Aura:
1. Enhancement - Uses aura to increase their physical attack and defense
2. Transmutation - Changes aura to mimic properties of something else
3. Conjuration - Creates from aura a physical and material object
4. Emission - Control aura while separate from body
5. Manipulation - Aura controls living or non-living objects in a particular manner
6. Specialization - Use of Nen aura that doesn't fall into any of the other categories

It's possible for a user to branch out from the type they're born with, but the farther they go the more difficult it is for them to use that type of aura. In a circle, it goes: Enhancer, Transmuter, Conjurer, Manipulator, Emitter, Enhancer again. Specialization nen generally isn't considered a proper part of the circle due to its unusual nature, but Manipulation and Conjuration Nen users do have a higher chance of becoming Specialization users at some other point.

With a special ability that is different from person to person and can result in just about anything (simple super powered punches to turning into different vehcles), it's little wonder that the world of Hunter x Hunter is full of all sorts of different technologies and cultures. Nen abilities can be made even more powerful with the use of what are called Vows and Limitations. The first is where a user forces a condition on their ability where they only use it in certain conditions (against a kind of foe, at a kind of time, etc), but it becomes the latter when a punishment is attached as well. The character Kurapika is a prime example of someone who has attached a Vow and Limitation to his ability: if he uses it on anyone but the group he has sworn to hunt down, he will die.

The most common users of Nen aura and abilities would be the Hunters Association, the group which also is the general focus of the manga. Canonly, those who past the exams are called "elite members of humanity". It is an extremely broad term, but the Hunters Association is an extremely broad organization. The only requirement for a Professional Hunter is, appropriately that they "hunt" something. This can mean the traditional kind of hunting, whether wild beasts or dangerous criminals, or it can mean a more vague aspiration such as the best foods or even something as basic as money. The series is constantly displaying different types of Hunters, and it wouldn't be surprising to learn that there's no real limit. Regardless of whether they're a Gourmet Hunter or a Blacklist hunter, however, it's guaranteed that any Hunter is striving to be or already is one of the best in their field. They're heavily relied upon by various corporations and powerful individuals for their talents and experience.

The Hunters Association is far from the only group or individuals who know how to use Nen, however. There are various darker groups, such as in the infamous criminals the Phantom Troupe or the great assassins family the Zoldyks, which also employ such abilities and talents.

These are the basics of the Hunter x Hunter canon, and will hopefully make understanding the rest of Kite's app easier.

Kite's familial situation is a complete mystery. The youngest we see of him, he is a young boy fending for himself and living in the sewers of his town. Whether he's an orphan, a runaway, or something else entirely is never stated. what is apparent is that he's very skilled at stealing food so that he can survive, physically active and talented, and works extremely well with animals. Judging by the ease he displays with such activities, we can guess that he's been living this way for at least a year or so. Things change in his relatively simple lifestyle when he returns from his usual thievery to find a Hunter having befriended all of his animal companions with apparent ease.

The Hunter's name is Ging Freecss, a veteran Archaeological Hunter. He sees a lot of potential in the adolescent boy with how well he's survived in his circumstances and, potentially, how he's managed to bond with his animal companions. As is stated later in the series by Kite himself and shown other times, "All good Hunters get along well with animals." When Ging tells the young boy this, Kite's response is to immediately pressure the man into taking him on as his student. Ging agrees, and thus begins the start of their teacher-student relationship. One of the first things Ging does is teach Kite how to open up his Nen and utilize its basic principles of Ten, Ren, and Zetsu. At some point, Kite also develops his Nen Ability of "Crazy Slots". In his time with Ging, Kite is taught various things such as how to hunt and how to battle. By the time he enters the Hunter Exam, he has a significant advantage over many of the other applicants because of who he's trained under and because he's already mastered Nen. (Leaning about and utilizing the basic Nen tenants is considered the secret final test of the Hunter Exams). Needless to say, he passes it quite easily.

This doesn't satisfy his teacher, of course. Thus, Ging gives Kite one final test: to hunt him. It's quite a challenge, considering Ging's skills, experience, and simply how highly Kite holds the older man in regard.

Such a hunt won't be easy, something Kite recognizes, and there are little clues as to where his teacher has disappeared to or what his movements will be like. So he decides to start at the beginning: looking into Ging's hometown on the small fishing village of Whale Island. It's here that he first meets a particular young boy who will become quite important, and this first meeting is set off by Kite saving that 9 year old child's life from an enreaged foxbear mother.

Immediately after, he punches the boy in the face for being so foolish as to go near a mother and her young. Because of that lack of common sense, Kite was forced to put down the life of an innocent animal- something he's loathe to do. He then goes on to try and put down the cub the mother was protecting, certain if it grew up that it would only know to hate humans for stealing its family away. The young boy stops him, however, and says he'll raise it in the mother's place no matter what. That makes Kite pause and in the end he agrees to let the boy try. Soon enough, they get to talking, and Kite explains what it is to be a Hunter. Inevitably, he also explains why he came to Whale Island and nearly sings Ging's praises. While he doesn't find any leads on Whale Island, Kite unwittingly accomplishes something else: he just enlightened Ging's son as to what has happened to him and inspired him to become a Hunter himself.

(This is in the 2011 anime version of Hunter x Hunter. In both the manga and 1999 version, Kite immediately clues in as to who Gon's parentage is.)

Gon and Kite meet again 4 years later. In that time, Gon has become a Hunter in his own right and learned Nen while Kite has finally accomplished his final test of tracking down Ging. It is something of an action-packed reunion, as Kite immediately rescues Gon and his friend Killua by pushing them off of a deadly Chimera Ant's nest and destroys it with his Nen ability. As soon as things calm down, however, they camp together around a campfire and catch up with everything that has happened with their lives.

Kite tells Killua and Gon that, as a Contract Hunter, he's been hired to do some ecological research for a biological survey while also having been entrusted with a small group who act as students of his own on this job. The pair of boys are accepted into helping the group discover new species. It seems like a relaxing and easy job until they discover an extremely large insect arm. Finishing the job, they look into it and one of Kite's group realizes that it's the enlarged arm of a Chimera Ant.

Chimera Ants are extremely dangerous insects from outside of the known world, and are an invasive species with enormous appetites. They get their name because of their ability to eat a particular creature and impart characteristics and genes of that creature onto their young to make them stronger. Their very presence has often threatened to drive other creatures to extinction. Usually, they're the size of large insects. This means that to see a piece of a Chimera Ant that's grown so large is extremely worrying. Kite's group decides to track it down, before it can do any lasting damage to where it's washed up. With some clever thinking on Kite's part, they manage to deduce that the Chimera Ant's main body would likely have ended up in the Neo-Green Life Autonomous State (NGL).

The NGL is a country supposedly dedicated rejecting any form of modern technology and synthetic materials in order to be closer to nature. Thus, entrance into its lands is extremely strict. Out of the group of 9, only five of them are able to enter. (Kite, Gon, Killua, and two of the apprentice hunters.) They are soon contacted by two other Hunters already deeper into the NGL- a distress call that lets them know just how dire the situation has already become with the Chimera Ants having been evolving at a horrifying pace. When they arrive, it's clear that they're too late to save the Hunters that contacted them. As they follow the trail of corpses, they run across their first chimera ant: Rammot. While Kite could easily defeat the creature (a fact that he knows and which Rammot quickly realizes as he subconsciously detects Kite's powerful Nen aura), he instead challenges Gon and Killua to defeat him. The situation is becoming more deadly by the minute, after all. If they are to continue as a group, they have to prove they can win in a fight against these powerful creatures. He won't babysit them. Eager to prove themselves and with their pride as new hunters on the line, Killua and Gon quickly rise to the challenge and defeat Rammot although they do not manage to kill him as one of his comrades swoops in just in time to take him away.

The group, now composed of mainly the three of them with the apprentice hunters having been sent away, continues onwards. They know that in order to stop the Chimera Ant invasion from spreading, it is necessary to kill the Chimera Ant Queen so that no more of their kind can be born. Their efforts lead them to a desert canyon where the cliff walls have been littered with holes- of manmade design. Venturing into them reveals that the NGL had been using its "close to nature" and strict guidelines as a way to keep outsiders from snooping into the true purpose of its birth: mass producing weaponry and a dangerously addictive drug known as D(3). More pressing, however, is three other Chimera Ants showing up on the scene. Kite is quick to scold Gon for starting to let his emotions get the better of him and instructs both him and Killua to not take their eyes off of their enemy- a foolish beginner's mistake that could get them killed. He instructs them to take on two of the Chimera Ants while he fights the leader, making it clear that they are to kill them. Kite finishes his own battle with complete ease, using the Chimera Ant leader's own strength against him before finishing him off with a shot to the head with his Crazy Slots ability.

This event riles a group of Chimera Ants known as the Hagya division, who make it their goal to eradicate the trio. The group eventually corners Kite, Gon, and Killua, and gives them a choice of "how they want to die". The trio agrees for one on one battles. Gon and Killu take care of the first two fights, showing their own skill. It's Kite who finishes off the rest of the division in a single swing- rolling out his powerful Scythe and decapitating them all and destroying more than a few trees in the process.

The path to the Chimera Ant nest seems clear, and the trio observe it from a distance as they work out the best plan of attack. However, Kite soon notes a positively terrifying aura from its direction- something that takes every single Chimera Ant they've encountered until then all together and dwarfs them. He realizes immediately that they're outclassed and takes the split second he has to ward Gon and Killua off with the order to run... And then in a flash, Kite's right arm is torn off.

Enter Neferpitou: one of the three Royal Guards to the Queen who's just realized how to utilize Nen themselves, its power, and wants to see just how strong they truly are.

It's immediately clear that Kite knows they cannot beat Neferpitou just by the pure brutal Nen radiating from the Chimera Ant. All he can do is hold them off. This plan is nearly trashed, however, when Gon reacts with pure rage at seeing Kite injured. It's only thanks to Killua knocking his friend out that Neferpitou's attention stays focused on Kite. As the two boys run to escape, Kite calls up Crazy Slots for one last spin...

And the next time we see his face again, it's in Neferpitou's lap... and his body has been unattached to his head.

From a meta standpoint, it's Kite who we can thank for motivating the main protagonist Gon in two or three separate occasions. It's because of Kite that Gon even thinks to go on his journey to become a Hunter and find his father since the boy didn't even know anything about him until meeting Kite. It's because of Kite that Gon gets wrapped up in the Chimera Arc, and it's because of Kite staying behind so that Gon and Killua can be safe that Gon decides to go back. When Gon discovers that Kite is dead and his corpse has been reanimated to act as a rabid meat-puppet for the Chimera Ants to practice on? That provides his revenge and his desire to try to find a way to make Kite right.

Kite is also provided as a role model of what a Hunter should be like, but I'll go into that properly in the Personality Section.

PERSONALITY:
Kite's first appearance has him save a child from a wild animal, punch that very same child in the face for wandering out into the wilderness and pissing off giant foxbear mothers, and then mourn that he had to put down an innocent creature's life. Like any good first appearance, this shows Kite at his most basic and important characteristics: he's a good if stoic person who wants to help people, but he won't tolerate outright foolishness and he loves nature. We learn about other traits of his throughout the course of the series, but it's these that we see first and they remain consistent throughout his appearances.

At first glance, Kite comes off as very much a stoic individual. Even in the midst of punching a 9 year old, he doesn't seem to emote very much. He's more emotive than he first lets on, of course, but he does project a very serious air when he's in the midst of a job. Once his task in the Chimera Arc moves from "casually documenting new species" to "eradicate the man eating bugs", he stops showing any emotion beyond dead serious. Kite is a Professional Hunter and shows it. When it's time to do business, he focuses strictly on that and seems to show little reaction to anything. Even having his arm torn off doesn't bother him. In the aftermath, Kite doesn't even flinch. He simply focuses on his enemy and draws out his Nen Ability. When he does show emotion for the first time since entering the NGL, it's almost more for Gon and Killua's sake to let them know that things are serious and they need to move now. After that, even his expression in death seems blank... which only makes the rabid ruthless nature of his puppeteered corpse afterwards all the more unsettling.

As stated before, however, Kite is more than capable of emoting when he's on a more easygoing job or with people he likes. One could even call him just a little bit of a goofball. He looks dumbfounded when confronted with Gon for the second time before trying to recover his cool and, when one of his charges teases him, he gets flustered and huffy. What brings him out the most however are two things: his admiration for his teacher Ging and his clear love of nature.

Once Kite's respect and admiration has been earned, he's the type of person who is easy to prompt into hours worth of stories and compliments regarding them. Ging's opinion obviously means a great deal to him, something which is obvious when he and his mentor reunite for the first time. In the scene, Ging goes as if to punch Kite... And Kite doesn't make any move to get away, simply and silently trusting that there must be a reason for it. When Ging doesn't punch him and instead shows approval of how Kite treated Gon during the Foxbear business, Kite's expression goes from awkward and surprised to positively gratified that he's earned his mentor's approval. this interaction also shows a slight fault of his, however. Kite is so excited and gratified to finally find Ging... that he ends up completely forgetting to return Ging's Hunter license that he'd been given as a tip to find him. Not everyone's perfect, and sometimes he can get caught up in his own excitement that he forgets minor details like a license in his pocket.

Kite's love of nature, animals in particular, is something that's clearly been cultivated since he was a child. Back then, only the feral and stray animals of his town offered him any true support and company. This attitude has stayed with him throughout his apprenticeship with Ging and into his own status as a Hunter of his own right. Putting down a wild creature just because of a human's foolish mistake clearly doesn't sit right with him when he saves Gon. When we later run into him again, one of the group he's with teases him about how he is bad at finding undiscovered insects and things like the rest of them. In return, flustered, he replies that he's bigger with larger animals like the Camp Tiger- a tiger with a horn on its head that it uses to spear its prey and then cook it over a campfire of its own creation. This shows that while he's officially listed as a "Contract Hunter", one who's hired by corporations to do specific jobs such as biological surveys, he's still retained his interest in animals from when he was younger and has no doubt gathered a good deal of knowledge on how to handle at the very least various mammal-like creatures. It's a subject that seems to ignite his passions with how glad he is to include Gon and Killua in his work.

This love of wildlife doesn't stop Kite from doing what needs to be done, however. If a Foxbear goes after a defenseless child, even if for good cause, Kite won't hesitate to cut it down. If an invasive species threatens the continent, Kite won't wait for a job regarding it to come to him- he'll go after it himself. He's the kind of person who knows that you can't always wait for someone else to come and fix up a mess. Sometimes, that person is you, and you can't spare any time sitting around fiddling with your thumbs. This can sometimes make him come off as a very ruthless person, and his serious expressions can come off as more than a little intimidating for all that he looks like he's made out of a bunch of long sticks. He also doesn't suffer much foolishness, obvious when he first punches Gon and driven home when he says he'll force Gon and Killua to leave NGL if they don't prove they can hold their own alongside him.

Despite this attitude, he will go through the proper channels when something needs to be done such as when he had to get into the NGL. While the legal process cut down the number of his team to half, something he was likely aware of considering NGL's reputation, he still went through with when it's possible that he could have snuck his way through. This sort of thing always has the possibility of tangling him up in red tape instead of actually doing anything worthwhile. At the same time, however, considering how positively he's reacted to when he hands in his survey results to his employer and how that employer immediately trusts him with the knowledge of who to go to in regards to getting that giant bug leg checked out, it lets him develop a solid professional reputation as someone who can be relied upon and trusted.

All of this adds up to Kite being held up as an example of how a Professional hunter should be. He's our first introduction to what exactly a Hunter is and what they should be like, even if his introduction scene is a short flashback. When Gon meets him again, he's met dozens of other Hunters from the Exams, the auctions, and Greed Island. Despite this, however, Kite stands out still. This is because all of those Hunters weren't emotionally connected to Gon, the protagonist, and thus as the audience we weren't exactly connected either. Kite, however, is a different subject. Gon knows Kite, is connected to Kite by way of his father, and is personally happy to see him. Thus, we the audience are also lead to pay more attention to him. Kite shows Gon how it means to work as a Hunter in a more mundane job such as looking for wild animals, connecting professionally with clients, and being in a serious fight where you make sure you finish off your opponents. There are others, of course, especially the rest of the group who appears in the Chimera Arc, but Kite is clearly held as the more personal example to the protagonist.

In summary, Kite is a rather serious man who easily lights up around people he cares for and when talking about some of his passions. He's a professional, and acts like it, but ultimately cares for both people and animals. On the downside, sometimes his professionalism can make him come off as rather harsh and his tendency to do things properly has the potential to tangle him up in red tape. He won't suffer any foolishness, and he'll accept no excuses for it either- another thing that can make him come off as harsh.

POWER:
Nen Aura - For the purposes of the roleplay, this will fit in fairly easily with other types of aura abilities. As explained above, Kite is capable of using the basics by enhancing his physical capabilities on a defensive and offensive scale. He can also shut it off, making it more difficult for people relying on some sort of aura-sensing ability to locate him. Kite can also use more advanced abilities such as focusing his aura in one place to enhance the strength there at the risk of leaving the rest of him vulnerable.

Crazy Slots - Kite's Nen Ability. As a conjurer, he is able to summon 9 different weapons and has shown himself to be extremely proficient in the three that are summoned in canon. However, in order to make each weapon stronger, he's imposed two contracts on himself. The first is that he has no control of which weapon he brings out, thus the reason for its name, and then must use that weapon at least once. The second is that Crazy Slots is some degree of sentient and boy does it let Kite know. This means he has to deal with constant backtalk everytime he brings it out, and he has to act quickly if he wants to act quietly since he has to make a spin before it opens its big mouth.

The three canon weapons that have been shown are thus:
2. Scythe - An extremely large and destructive scythe. While its power is deadly (it's cut through multiple creatures and some trees at once), it's honestly unwieldy for anywhere that isn't a very large open space with no civilians. Kite clearly doesn't favor it.

3. Mace - A small mace ideal for close combat and relies more on bludgeoning power than anything.

4. Rifle - A large rifle nearly as tall as Kite is. It fires off powerful rounds in quick succession that can easily go through a skull, and makes no noise as it fires. Good for medium and long range fights, but not so much for close combat ones.

These other six weapons are not canon, but will be used for the purpose of the roleplay:
1. Clawed Gauntlets - A melee weapon intended for close combat and speed. The claws are further manifestations of his Nen and can be either turned off entirely for non-fatal attacks or extended to about a foot in length, able to sever flesh.

5. Rapier - Another melee weapon. Not as light as the Gauntlets but still built more for speed than power. Excellent piercing ability.

6. Revolver - While a ranged weapon like the the rifle, it sacrifices its range for pure power and can leave rather large holes in whatever (or whoever) it's aimed at.

7. Fan - A large war fan. Unlike most of Kite's weapons, this one is more focused towards defense and is thus difficult to break past. In a pinch, however, it can be folded up to use as a decent bludgeoning weapon.

8. Glaive - Another melee weapon, and slightly more manageable than the scythe despite being similar in length due to its straighter blade. Still no less dangerous.

9. Bow - Kite's most powerful ranged weapon and best suited for sniping. If Kite focuses his Nen in his eyes, the bow responds and becomes even more powerful. However, this in turn leaves him extremely vulnerable to anyone who would want to attack him in that moment.

Animal Empathy - This isn't necessarily a stated canon power, so to say, but I would like to take it in as one if that is acceptable with the mods. It's a relatively minor power which allows Kite to better connect with animals. He can't mind-control them or anything like that. He can simply read them better, and not come off as threatening. More domesticated animals, such as dogs and certain kinds of hawks for example, will listen easier to his commands at first go and wild animals such as wolves won't pay him much mind. If given enough time with any singular animal, he can teach them to work alongside him. (We'll say a month.) He's also more in-tune to their emotional states and can make a rough haphazard guess as to why they're feeling a certain way. This connection with animals helped him as a child, and it continues to help him as a Hunter with a large interest in them still.

〈 CHARACTER SAMPLES 〉
COMMUNITY POST (VOICE) SAMPLE:
[Kite is on video today, his usual hat in its seemingly permanent place as always. He tips the bill up a nudge by way of greeting. The background is a park, with the sound of kids playing and plenty of people just out for an afternoon stroll before the autumn air gets too chilly. Might as well enjoy the nice weather while it lasts, right?]

Not too long ago, back home, I was doing a contract that involved surveying all the different animals that lived in a certain area. My group and I discovered quite a few new species, either just large and shy or small and clever. Nature always seems to have some surprises up its sleeve. I've always known there were plenty of animals I just didn't know about, but you don't realize until you have to make a huge list of what you find.

[His quiet expression finally shifts into a friendly smile, chin propped up on the back of one hand.]

Coming here just proves that more. What kind of creatures did you have back in your worlds that you haven't seen here yet? I'm really curious.

LOGS POST (PROSE) SAMPLE:
In a way, it's almost not too different than being a Hunter.

He picks up on that quickly enough, although he's more than aware of all the little differences. There's too much attention paid to him than he was given as a Hunter out on the common streets, and Hunters weren't forced into being what they were. It was something you decided you wanted to do, because all the little Gods knew that it was more dangerous than normal people would ever want anything to do with. When he glances at other ImPorts- people walking down the streets with their tattoos glowing blue, those who stood next to him at the swearing in, his housemates- he sometimes finds himself thinking this isn't for them.

At the same time... Like he said. It's similar. There's no real idea what the higher ups are up to, everyone is mostly given free reign, there are jobs from the mundane to the occasionally very dangerous 'assignments', and there's a lot of talking to people to stay connected and in the know. He guesses there's really only so much differences between two entirely different worlds.

There's one familiarity that he's relieved for, of course, and it's one he heads for at the end of every Friday. The receptionist always beams at him with a chirpy "Hello Mr. Kite!" that he tries to shrug off because it's still a bit funny to be referred to as 'Mister'. He has a feeling she says it purely because she likes to see the faces he makes. She lets him go through the crowded little rooms that clamor with noise until he's settled in one place in particular.

Kite reaches over to undo the cage and grins when the small thick little dog practically launches itself into his twiggy excuse for a torso. "Hey there," he says to the dog whose tail won't stop wagging. He know that deaf ears won't catch the greeting, but that's okay. He can recognize a dog with a damn fine nose when he sees one, and they're always good to have around. Always.

FINAL NOTES: During the fight with Neferpitou, Kite loses his right arm in exchange for making sure Gon and Killua get out of the way. I assume that reattaching it or getting some sort of replacement wouldn't be too out of the ordinary (it certainly isn't in HxH canon) but he'll probably have some shoulder pains for a month after his arrival that he'll regularly see a doctor for until it heals up fully if that's alright.
